Welcome to the Deddington
PFSU and Nursery
Website

Our Aims are to:

  • Provide a caring, secure and happy environment for children aged 2 and 4.
  •  Enable staff and parent/carers to work together to provide the most appropriate and effective development opportunities.
  •  Provide stimulating activities in all areas of the Early Years Curriculum.
  •  Build the child’s confidence, self-esteem and social skills.
  •  To introduce and teach skills necessary for the children’s future.



 The Partnership Foundation Stage Unit

Children normally join the PFSU for the academic year prior to the year before they start school, therefore the children are aged 3 and 4 years.



The PFSU is contained in a purpose built building in the grounds of Deddington Church of England Primary School.  The building is shared with the School’s foundation stage class.  The children also have access to the schools facilities, such as the hall and playing fields. The PFSU therefore has close links with the primary school.


                      Village Nursery

Deddington Nursery has been in existence for over 20 years. It stands in its own grounds.

The nursery welcomes children from their 2nd birthday.  They remain at the nursery until the July after they have turned 3.



The nursery is run in partnership with the PFSU and many staff work at both settings ensuring continuity and a smooth transition for the children to the PFSU.
We encourage outdoor play throughout the year in our secure garden.
